5 Questions About Male Breast Reduction
1. Will my manboobs go away without surgery?
If you have come to this page, chances are you have already tried everything to get rid of your manboobs. For those who have tried losing weight and still have their manboobs, we understand how frustrating this can be, and we know that you have probably researched the topic over and over. If you have tried losing weight and exercised, or you are already in shape yet you still have your manboobs, it is more than likely you have gynecomastia. This means that you have actual breast tissue in your chest, rather than just fat. This breast tissue will never go away without surgery.
2.Will my chest be flat after surgery?
Dr. Kim will make sure you have no womanly looking breast left over. He will take all the breast gland out (this is what causes the pointiness, puffiness and round look of the breast). He will also liposuction all the fat out of the are which is causing the breast to look bigger or womanly. Dr. Kim is an expert in liposculpture, this means that your chest will be sculpted to look like the perfect masculine chest. If you have muscles underneath your breasts, Dr. Kim will sculpt the chest to make sure there are no dips, dimples, or flatness where there shouldn’t be.
3. Will my breasts come back?
No. The fat is permanently removed and will not come back. The glandular tissue is also removed permanently. Sometimes breast tissue can regrow if you have a hormone problem or if you were to abuse hormone or growth drugs. (a.k.a. Steroids)
4. Will there be scars?
The breast gland is taken out through tiny incisions made on the perimeter of the areola, and when these heal (after a few weeks), the scar will be hidden inside your nipple. There will also be tiny 3-4mm incisions underneath your armpits where a canula is inserted to liposuction the fat out of your chest. These are barely noticeable and will fade over time. What you really want to know is, will anyone know you have had an operation on your chest? The answer is no. Unless you tell them, you cannot notice that you have had a breast reduction procedure performed.
5. I only have puffy nipples, is that manboobs?
Yes, glandular tissue is what causes puffy nipples, and this is worse to have than simply fat manboobs. A lot of thinner males have purely puffy nipples, and no fat around their chest. This is sometimes even more noticable than the traditional fat man boob on bigger guys. Our male breast reduction procedure will remove this puffiness.
