5 Questions About Vaser Breast Reduction
1. Will my breasts be saggy?
Dr. Kim uses the latest technology to perform his breast reductions. Using Vaser technology, the breast skin is tightened as the fat is suctioned out. This means that there will be less saggy skin left over after the reduction procedure, and at the same time, your breasts will be lifted for a more youthful appearance.
2. Will there be scars?
As Vaser Liposuction is being used, the only scarring you will have from the procedure are a few 3-4mm incision. These scars are hardly noticeable and will fade with time, and are also positioned in natural skin creases to hide them further.
3. What is Vaser Liposuction Breast Reduction?
Using Liposuction to reduce the size of the breasts is a much less invasive procedure than traditional surgical breast reduction. Vaser Liposuction is available for patients who’s breasts are made up of mainly fat, not breast tissue. Smaller incisions in the most inconspicuous of spots are made. A cannula is inserted into the breast through these tiny incisions and is used to break up and remove fatty tissue and decrease the size of the breasts. This technique benefit the patient with virtually no scarring, less pain and trauma and a quicker recovery time. It avoids the ugly, lolly pop scar of traditional breast reduction, which can look unappealing in women and men with dark skin. At the same time, breasts are lifted, from the skin tightening, resulting in youthful looking breasts.
4. Will I be able to breastfeed?
Yes! Vaser Liposuction Breast Reduction is unlikely to affect breastfeeding. There may be some reduction in nipple sensation in some women though this usually resolves completely within months, which can vary from patient to patient.
5. How much of a reduction can I get?
You can expect around one to two cup size reduction from the Vaser Breast Reduction (*can vary from patient to patient). Along with the size reduction, the lift in the breasts will result in a more comfortable breast size which also looks good with minimal scarring.
